A product hub designed to make tool discovery effortless
Overview
Stanley Black & Decker needed to modernize its industrial tools platform to better support professional contractors and distributors. The goal was to make browsing and product discovery faster and more intuitive while reinforcing the brand’s legacy of precision, reliability, and performance.
The Challange
The existing experience was dense and fragmented — users struggled to compare products, find specifications, and access technical documentation. The challenge was to simplify the product experience and create a structure that prioritized usability, consistency, and confidence in every interaction.
Approach & Methods
Conducted user interviews and heuristic evaluations with contractors and distributors to identify pain points in navigation and data presentation.
Redesigned the information architecture to surface top product categories and streamline access to key details.
Built interactive wireframes and prototypes to validate hierarchy and interaction models early in the process.
Partnered with engineering and marketing teams to ensure data accuracy, technical feasibility, and brand cohesion.
