About Me
Designer of things
Life enthusiast
I love solving complex problems by providing simple and meaningful solutions. I am a lifelong learner who likes to create cool things for nice people.
How I got here
A former filmmaker turned passionate UX designer
I’m a former filmmaker and retail/marketing manager turned passionate UX designer. I was born and raised in Rome, Italy, in a neighborhood called Celio, just behind the Colosseum. The park around Ludus Magnus, the ancient gym of the gladiators, was my childhood playground — and every Sunday, I played soccer at Circo Massimo, surrounded by centuries of history.
Love for the Ocean
Years later, I moved to Australia, where I discovered my lifelong love for the ocean. I bought an old surfboard and a leaky wetsuit, and started chasing waves, cultures, and new perspectives.
When I returned to Rome, I missed that sense of openness and rhythm that only the ocean gives. So twelve years ago, I took a surf trip to California, met the love of my life, rescued two cats, and never looked back.
Now I live in Laguna Niguel, California, where the ocean’s calm energy fuels my creativity every day.
Other hats & Interests
Core Values
I know I have a lot to offer. What flows naturally to me are interpersonal skills like empathy, advocacy, and team empowerment. I'm a storyteller at heart and connecting others to the larger picture is where my heart aligns. I just want to make things better for those who'll use a specific product or service. It's as simple as that.
Graciousness
Treat each other as you'd like to be treated! It's a no-brainer.
Empathy
If we put ourselves in the shoes of others, it's much easier to understand their needs, frustrations and emotions.
Curiosity
Never stop asking why. "Never stop questioning; curiosity has its own reason for existing." - Albert Einstein
Optimism
I found out that people who maintain a sunny disposition have better relationships at work, are happier in their jobs and find more human centric solutions. This is a big one for me.
Inclusion
Embrace diversity. There is so much to gain if you open your heart and mind to the cultures and differences of other people. Exclusion kills creativity.
Transparency
Transparent behavior creates better work relationships, allows you to solve problems faster and, more importantly, it builds trust.
Guiding Principles
Learn
Learning is at the core of my design practice and life.
Share
Sharing is literally caring. It doesn't matter what you share; it can be knowledge or your lunch. Sharing with others makes you feel happy, promotes social connection, evokes gratitude and is super contagious.
Grow
Personal growth is the whole reason we are on this beautiful planet called Earth.
How I got here
I live in Laguna Niguel, California — and I love it here.
Our home is filled with surfboards, guitars, and cat towers, surrounded by trees and light. It’s a calm, inspiring place that keeps me grounded and creative.
Within three years, I turned what started as a UX design hobby into a full-time career. Reinventing myself has always been part of my journey — each transition has pushed me to learn, adapt, and grow.
Like many designers who found their path later, I used to wonder if coming from a non-UX background was a disadvantage. Over time, I realized it’s actually my greatest strength. UX is an interdisciplinary field — the only real requirement is caring about people. My background in film, physical therapy, marketing, and retail gave me a deep understanding of human behavior and communication, which now shapes everything I design.
Today, I’m looking to join a company that values creativity, collaboration, and human-centered thinking — a place that challenges its designers to think strategically and grow together.
Previously, I worked with AutoZone as a UX Architect, Stanley Black & Decker as a UX/UI Designer, and Openlane as a UX Designer, where I focused on improving digital tools for transportation and inspection.
