Introduction

Contributing to the creation of our Design Library was a meaningful and eye-opening experience. While my role was smaller in scope, I collaborated closely with the core design system team and developers, focusing on interaction patterns and design recommendations for specific components.
It was both exciting and humbling to see how much thought, detail, and cross-functional collaboration goes into building a scalable design foundation. Working hand in hand with my teammates gave me a deeper appreciation for the systems side of design and how it supports a consistent, accessible user experience across products.

Button Variants

Above is shown the set of button variants, each serving a distinct purpose within the interface hierarchy. The primary variant delivers a strong visual presence, ideal for the most important actions or primary calls to action. The secondary variant presents a more neutral tone, supporting secondary actions without competing for visual attention.

The tertiary variant offers a minimal, understated appearance, best suited for low-priority actions or scenarios where subtlety and visual harmony are preferred.

Checkbox Component

Working on the checkbox component for our new Design Library was both insightful and rewarding. Checkboxes have always intrigued me from a UX and UI perspective — their simplicity hides a surprising level of nuance in interaction, accessibility, and visual balance. My focus was on refining the interaction states, ensuring clarity and consistency across hover, focus, active, and disabled modes. I collaborated closely with designers and developers to validate spacing, contrast ratios, and touch targets, aligning visual design with usability standards. This project reinforced how even the smallest elements in an interface play a critical role in creating cohesive, accessible, and trustworthy experiences.

Designing the Filters component was one of the most complex and rewarding parts of the Design Library project. I collaborated closely with designers, product owners, and developers to define interaction patterns, behaviors, and visual states for multi-level filters across desktop and mobile. The goal was to create a scalable, intuitive solution that could adapt to different data contexts while maintaining clarity and consistency. This project deepened my understanding of system logic, user flow dependencies, and the balance between flexibility and simplicity in component design.
